Funeral services for Hubbard Winston “Boo” White Jr., 65, of Livingston, were held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Livingston Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Carlton Casey and Laura Brekke officiating. Burial followed in the Myrtlewood Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church.

White passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the West Alabama Hospice of Tuscaloosa. He was the retired owner/operator of a trucking company. During his retirement years, Boo was an active member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans (SCV) and the 4th Brigade Commander of the Mississippi Division and the Commander of the W.D. Cameron Camp No. 1221. He was very proud of his heritage and history. His greatest accomplishment in life was being “Boo PA” to his cherished grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lynelle White of Jasper; son, Anthony White (Lauren) of Meridian, Miss.; daughters, Kathryn W. Deas (Vince) of Demopolis, Ashelie Halla (Clay) of Birmingham, and Cassie Smith (Corey) of Mississippi; sisters, Wynona Wilson of Montgomery and Beth Casey (Carlton) of Williamsburg, Va.; grandchildren, Bella White of Meridian, Miss., Vincent and Bryant Deas of Demopolis, Parker Clayton, Anne, and Garrett of Birmingham; and step-grandson, Logan Posey of Jasper.

Pallbearers were Jim Wilson III, Will Wilson, Ben Casey, Winston Casey, David Tarver, Knox Poole, David Gilbert, and Tom Coats. Honorary Pallbearers are the Compatriots of the W.D. Cameron Camp No. 1221.
