Freddie Jo Rollo, 76, of Jasper (Pineywoods community) died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Pisgah Baptist Church in Sipsey with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Justin Smith and the Rev. Wayne Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 11, 2013, at the church.

Mr. Rollo was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church where he served the Lord faithfully. The highlight of his life was spending time with his family, whom he loved with all his heart. He was an avid hunter and loved Alabama football.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John Jessie and Jo Amy Chambers Rollo; and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Rollo; children, Diane Daniel (Donald Ray), Mike Rollo (Barbara), Lesa Turner, and Chris Rollo; grandchildren, Blake Rollo, Jessica Grace, Jo Amy Rollo, Brittany Turner, Chloe Turner and Carson Turner; great-grandchildren, Brodie Parrish and Sara Beth Parrish; special friends, Keith Bridges and Jennifer Langan; and a host of other family, relatives and friends not listed.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Scott, Woody Smothers, Rex Starnes, Ricky Drummond, Paul Farley, Mack Green, Doug Channell and Randal Drummond.

Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Starnes and Charles “Red” Roberts.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Comfort Care Hospice and especially Steve Tubbs and also special thanks to the Pisgah Baptist Church family.
