Deb Sargent Bankston and Jeb Bankston of Cordova are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nichole Bankston of Cordova, to Nathan Woods of Oakman, the son of Stan Woods of Tuscaloosa and Cindy Woods Fazekas of Vance.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charles Bankston and David and Jean Sargent of Cordova, and the great-granddaughter of Betty Green of Cordova.
She is a 2007 graduate of Cordova High School. She is currently employed with Alabama Power-Miller Plant.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Sara and the late James Woods of Oakman.
He is a 2006 graduate of Oakman High School. He is currently employed with Nelson Brothers, LLC.
The wedding will take place at 3 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2010, at Cordova First Baptist Church.
Robert and Cynthia Patton of Jasper and William “Bill” Kingery of Oxford and the late Mary Kingery announce the engagement of their children, Robert M. (Matt) Patton and Megan Kingery.
Matt is the grandson of the late Carrie Elizabeth and Robert Matthew Patton of Jasper and the late Flossie and Clifton W. Eiland, formerly of Arley.
Megan is the granddaughter of the late Charlotte and William Marburger of Bethalto, Ill,. and Hazel Kingery of Deltona, Fla., and the late Thurman Kingery.
Matt is a graduate of Walker High School and earned a B.S. degree in human environmental services from the University of Alabama. Matt is employed by the Walker County Health Department as a public health environmentalist.
Megan earned a B.S. degree in fine arts from the University of Mississippi and is employed by Ajax Restaurant in Oxford and owns and operates her own art studio in Water Valley, Miss.
Matt and Megan will be married on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at a 5 p.m. service at St. John The Evangelists Catholic Church in Oxford, Miss. A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Invitations have been sent. They will celebrate their marriage at Sandals Nigrel Beach Resort in the Carribean.
