Edith Jane Miles, 67, of Sumiton, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in McCormack Cemetery in Dora. Pastor Lane Sargent officiated. Visitation was held from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George W. and Willett Morgan; and nephew, Keith Baxter.

Survivors include her son, Gregory Allen Miles of Sumiton; brother, David Morgan and his wife, Faye of Sumiton; sisters, Emma Jean Danford of Piedmont and Jo Helen Mills and her husband, Emmitt, of Sumiton; nieces and nephews, Scott Mills, Curtis Baxter, Paula Cunningham and her husband, William, and Lisa Bullock and her husband, Randy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
