Dortheen Dailey King, 91, of Townley, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home with burial in Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Carl Uptain and Bro. Richard Alexander will officiate. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.

King was a loving wife and mother. She was the food service manager at Peoples Hospital and Walker Regional Medical Center. After she retired in 1984, she enjoyed many hobbies, especially oil painting and writing about her past. She was a longtime member of Townley First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Walter King Jr., and her infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann King; father, Silas F. Dailey; mother, Idella Spears Dailey; sisters, Lois Courington, Hettie Hinton, Edith Hamilton, Gladys Gordon and Ezzell Bennett; and brothers, Roy Dailey, Ellis Dailey and Lloyd Dailey.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca King (Gary) Aultman and Margaret King (Bobby) Gann; grandchildren, Timothy Alan (Wendy) Aultman, Amy Rebecca Aultman, Patrick Dale (Emily) Gann, Jennifer Aultman (Dennis) Willingham and Pamela Gann (Josh) Burrus; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Aultman, Patrick Gann, Dennis Willingham, Josh Burrus, Kenneth Drummond and Terry Gordon.
