An angel took flight from earth and entered the gates of Heaven as Donald Ray Kell of Jasper passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at the age of 70. He was born on Feb. 23, 1943.

The family will receive friends today, Jan. 25, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home and Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, from 2 until 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be at Curry Cemetery. Donny Elliott will officiate.

Kell was preceded in death by his father, Ira Kell; mother, Ruby Bates Kell; sisters, Juanita Kell and Betty Wells; mother-in-law, Ethel Hallman; fathers-in-law, Charlie (Buck) Fields and Chester Hallman.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fields Drummond Kell; daughters, Kimberly Drummond and Vernie Zelinko; sons, Chris Kell, Kevin Zelinko, Allen Zelinko and Greg Drummond (Connie); sisters, Lydia Dill (Fred) of Curry, Beatrice Dodd (Dennis), Noah Ann Brown (Edward) of Curry, Jeanette Rice (Mac) of Grant and Judy Robertson of Curry; brothers, Robert Kell (Lill) of Curry and Ronald Kell (Lillie) of Curry; mother-in-law, Eunice Fields; 30 nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Charlyn Huff (Tom); four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Kell, Bobby Kell, Joe Dill, Curtis Kell, David Kell, Jason Dodd and Logan Barnes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Archie Naramore, Wayne Woodard, David Gaines and John Tubbs.
