Denton Willard “Boo” Hill, 41, of Empire, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2013, at his residence. He was a machine operator for Carcel & G Construction and was a member of Brooklin Masonic Lodge No. 704 F&AM.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Litttlevine Cemetery in Empire. Visitation will be today, April 16, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Belvin Willard Gann; his mother, Martha Marcella Burke; his sister, Donna Mae Young and his father-in-law, Calvin Jackson Poore.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hill; sons, Denton Nathaniel Hill and Dakota Hill; daughter, Annika Hill; brothers, Buddy Gann, Frank Hill and Terry Gann; sisters, Susan Poore (Dooley), Sharron Miller, Nikki Brown and Jenny King; mother-in-law, I.V. Poore; sister-in-law, Linda Latta (John); his work family at Carcel & G Construction; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
