The Cordova City Council did not vote Tuesday night on the alcohol ordinance that was presented more than a month ago. Approximately a dozen residents spoke in opposition to a part of the ordinance that establishes 100 feet as the buffer zone for churches, schools and childcare facilities.

The council is now exploring several options discussed during the meeting. Full coverage will be provided in Thursday’s Daily Mountain Eagle.

Dora's City Council cancelled its meeting Tuesday night due to a lack of quorum. Only Mayor Randy Sides and council members Clyde Nix, Gary Thomas and Robbie Busby attended the meeting. The council will hold a special meeting next Tuesday at 6 p.m.
