Audie Alvin Campbell, 77, of Logan, entered into rest on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, in Birmingham.

He was born on Jan. 21, 1936 in Akron, Ohio. He loved horseback riding, fishing and aggravating the grandkids.

Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services were held at 2 p.m. Brother Kenny Sudduth officiated. Burial was in the Enmonfield Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Campbell; son, Audie Alvin “Sam” (Sonya) Campbell Jr.; daughters, Gearldine (Doug) Layfield, Carol (Ken) Layfield, Rosa (Dennis) Harrison and Mary (Bruce) Williams; he was Papa to 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyce and Olamae Campbell; brothers, Jack Campbell, Travis Campbell, Dual Burns; half brothers, Jimmy Campbell and Johnny Campbell; and sister, Vera Pearl Burns.
