Officials, including Kenneth W. Boswell, second from the right, the head of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), cut the ribbon Wednesday on Winston Homebuilders in Double Springs, which has created 200 jobs in Double Springs, according to state Rep. Tim Wadsworth, R-Arley, state Rep. Tracy Estes, R-Winfield, and Senate Majority Leader Greg Reed, R-Jasper, all of whom attended. Gov. Kay Ivey and ADECA provided $400,000 in grant money to perform building renovations on an unoccupied building in distress in order to open the business. The legislators and Double Springs Mayor Elmo Robinson were among officials helping to cut the ribbon at the manufactured housing business, which will ship units across the nation.
