Signs of Christmas are everywhere. In Cordova, the Long House Wedding and Event Venue is draped in evergreen boughs. Also in Cordova, the Whatley family has decorated a Christmas tree on McCrory Street. In downtown Jasper, a vacant storefront has been turned into a scene of Wise Men journeying from the east, and scarves adorn light poles and benches. Students in Mrs. Tasha Grace's kindergarten class at Lupton Jr. High School distributed over 40 scarves around the Walker County Courthouse Square on Monday for anyone stuck outside in the cold. The students donated new or gently used scarves for the service project instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year. At Harbor Chase, Crimson Blu is ready to go for a sleigh ride.
