HarborChase of Jasper's annual holiday open house will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be food, live music, a door decorating contest and a silent auction featuring several trees and a fireplace decorated by local hospices and home health agencies. The winners of the silent auction will go home with the decorations, and the agency whose submission receives the highest bid will receive the proceeds from the auction to donate to a charity of their choice.

The West Jefferson Festival of Trees once again drew a large crowd to West Jefferson Town Hall Nov. 21-24. More than 100 trees were scattered throughout the building. Some of the most unique included a CD tree, a Toy Story tree and two Thanksgiving trees. Festival organizers also opened a new room as a train room this year.
