Memorial Park Elementary School is enlisting the help of students to build the school’s very own playground.
Students at Memorial Park have been using the neighboring playground beside the Jasper Natatorium during gym class, but school officials now have a goal to build a playground solely for their students. Memorial Park Principal Eric Rigsby said he is grateful that the school has been able to use the park’s play area, but said it can often become crowded with children from the school and Jasper community sharing the playground.
